Arundel’s small but successful seed swap is back by popular demand. If you’re bored of your brassicas, have lost interest in the lobelia or just want something different to hang in your baskets – come along and update your garden for free!
Seed swaps are on the rise across the country, offering the chance to swap packets of seed (either shop-bought or collected from your plants), for some different types and species.
Plants, garden books & magazines are also welcome at the swap – and if you really don’t have anything to swap at all, donations are appreciated, with all monies raised going towards future events.
What’s more, there will be the opportunity to ask expert advice on your planting from the gardeners who work the Arundel Castle Gardens.
Arundel Agenda 21 Group’s ‘Seed and Plant Exchange’, will be held on Sunday 18th February at the Victoria Institute in Tarrant Street, between 2 and 4pm and is free to attend. Refreshments available.
We need seed swappers!
The event will mean people bring along their seeds on the day but we will need a ‘bank’ of seeds to start us off. If you have any seeds we can use as the starters (or if you can help us on the day), please contact Rita Godfrey on 885826 or Debbie Kennedy on 07958140647.
